Point Innovation attends IDSA Design Odyssey

January 27, 2007, Houston, TX - Point Innovation attended the IDSA Texas Chapter Conference Meeting hosted by the University of Houston. The event was set up to review the latest development and design tools available for product development, program management, invention, patent protection and design industry updates. The event featured an interview session with Corporations and Consulting Companies.

Point Innovation was represented by Tom Beaumont and Michael DeVore at the conference. During the interview process we met with a number of great Industrial Design attendants ranging from senior year students to professional designers with 2 to 5 years of experience. As a result, Point Innovation was pleased to welcome Vas Obeyesekere to our group as the newest addition to the Industrial Design team. He brings a vast array of skills honed during an intern position with Dell Computers. He has proven to be a great resource on our creative Design Teams.

Lately we have been growing at an accelerated pace with a greatly expanded client base. We have been involved in many new and innovative programs through which the opportunities have been tremendous. Our three phase development process includes all aspects related to the development of innovative product solutions that meet the market and business needs; as well as, assuring accurate and timely CAD data for manufacturing implementation. Our tools for design include: Pro Engineer, Solid Works, Inventor, Unigraphics I-DEAS, Alias, Rhino among other design and animation tools. Our Finite Element Analysis (FEA) evaluation capabilities include Pro-Mechanica, ABAQUS, ANSYS, I-DEAS and PTC's Windchill PDM LINK program management tools are also offered for real time development and collaboration with clients. We have over 32 people on staff to serve our client's needs.
