Mechanical Engineer/Designer

This position requires the ability to conceptualize and design mechanical systems ranging from consumer products, medical and aerospace to light industrial products. This will include the development and evolution of simple to complex mechanical systems, identification of appropriate materials and manufacturing processes, support of prototyping and production ramp-up activities. The position requires interfacing with Industrial Designers, vendors as well as client personnel. The development process will involve solving challenging problems requiring a broad engineering background and/or a desire to expand your existing engineering knowledge. This position requires strong communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as the ability to develop accurate estimates for work to be performed. This individual will initially be in a team position, but will be groomed for growth within the company.

Requirements for this position
* BSME
* OR Two to Four years experience in one or more of the following:
     - Electronics
     - Medical equipment
     - Consumer products
     - Aerospace
     - Light Industrial
* Computer housing plastic, die-casting and sheet metal experience required
* Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as injection molding, sheet metal fabrication, die-casting, forging, machining
* Knowledge of tool design related to the listed manufacturing processes
* Thorough knowledge of and demonstrated ability to design complex components and assemblies using CAD tools including Pro/E (2001, Wildfire 1 or 2), Pro-Cable, SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
* Pro/E Wildfire 2 experience required
* Knowledge of DFMA practices
* Ability to perform and/or supervise structural and thermal analyses of components
